I thought the weather was not going to be on our side for this day of shooting, but it stopped snowing and left us with a perfect, untouched blanket of fresh powder.  It was lovely, just like my subjects.  What a wonderful first Provo shoot, of hopefully many more to come.

Evening Walkabout

Sometimes the light outside is just so lovely it calls you out to photograph.  

I think many photographers feel this way and this day was definitely one of those days.  

I turned off the burners on the stove, told Ian dinner would have to wait, 

left him with the baby and went on a walk around our new neighborhood.  

It was nice.

Bad Tripod

Good photographers pack their tripods with them.  Lazy photographers think "I won't need my tripod", realize they do need their tripod, and end up using a crappy one that they randomly found in a closet that cant hold the weight of their camera.  Hopefully I have learned my lesson.

A couple weeks ago we went and visited our families in Oregon for a week, and for a couple days of that week we stayed on the coast with my family, the Dixon family.  It was a lot of fun and I feel a got a few good shots out of it.  These are just the firsts of more to come.

A while ago I photographed my dear friend Keisha and I am sad it has taken me this long to post some of her photographs. We met our very first semester up at BYU-Idaho in Art 100

and I am so glad we sat next to each other. Back then she was a psychology major but she changed that and now is a great singer. She and her band hop around Idaho singing at different venues. Word on the street is she is auditioning for American Idol soon. I wish her the best of Luck! If you ever get the chance to hear her sing you need to. You will be left in awe!
