What Our Week Has Looked Like

Last Tuesday, after a weekend of being sick, we found out that Ian's appendix had burst and we were checked into the hospital. They did lypascopifc surgery to remove the two halves of the appendix and cleaned the infected area. We left the hospital on the following Saturday, then checked back in Sunday Night. Ian's little infections decided to form an abscess and his small intestine swelled and wouldn't allow him to keep down anything. This morning (Monday Morning) Ian had another surgery to clean out the abscess, to place a drain in the area of infection, to untangle his intestines and, to place another drain down his nose into his stomach. It will be a few more days until we are out again.

Last weekend we took a little trip down to Utah to visit family. When we woke up early in the morning these little critters where at/on our steamy and hard-water stained window to wish us good morning. I ran up stairs and got my camera.

Well, last semester I decided to continue the project but a little deeper. This is just one of more to come. I love this series to the point that I have made a goal to get a complete body of work from it. The contrast between what we go through to get power here on earth, and the natural power of space goes together like bread and butter.
