The Rohbock Family

A couple of weeks ago I got to photograph The Rohbock Family in a lovely park.  We sadly are missing one other son who came down with a little something the morning of the shoot.  It makes me sad when family photos have to be taken without the whole family but sometimes it has to be done.  So you photograph small groups, and we have some cute small groups here.  These are just a few of what we got.  Enjoy!

Soon to be Hot Off the Presses

All those images of Chelsie and her horn were for the sole purpose to make a poster for her senior recital.  These bad boys will be posted all over BYU-Idaho in about a week.

Chelsie R. Dixon

I know I have photographed Chelsie and her horn before but these aren't just for fun, these are for her Senior Recital.  Thats right, one of these bad boys is going to be printed and hung all around BYU-Idaho inviting all to come and hear the historic musing of the horn.  Feel free to vote on your favorite and maybe it will help her decide.

The Thomas Family

Halfway through the summer term of my Junior year a whole herd of freshly minted high school grads from Idaho came into my life/apartment.  Lacy was one of those freshmen, now look at her.  She is grown up, she has a husband, she has two little boys and she has to move in December.  She wanted some family photos taken before they left and the cold set in and I'm glad we did it when we did, the leaves where just changing color and it was still pretty warm out.  We tried to get it all done one evening before the sun went down, then when I came home and looked closely at our results I thought we needed some more time with the little ones.  So she took another jaunt down to Provo one saturday just her and her boys. I'm so glad she did.  We got much better faces and some of just her and her boys.  I think Mamas always need photos of themselves and their babies.  I mean heck, you put so much time and work in them, you might as well document it! These are just a few of the many smiles we got from them.  Enjoy!

Mary & Kevin

I was very happy when I was asked to photograph my friend Mary and her new fiance Kevin. It was such a good shoot, we had lovely lighting and lovely locations and pretty good looking subject matter.  Being around them and working on their photos brought back to my memory when Ian and I were engaged and how in love we were.  I feel like such an old married couple, with a baby, and so busy, and we don't just go and do whatever we want to go and do anymore.  It was a good time in life.  I hope they enjoy it and savor it.  I'm glad I got to document it for them, it may be my favorite shoot I have ever had.

Eric & Carrie

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to travel home to Eugene, Oregon and photograph this cute couple's rehearsal dinner.  It was the perfect job for me and I was very excited to take it.  It's not every day a photographer is asked to come and just document an event without any obligation to do formal portraits and without the huge stress of photographing the actual wedding.  I loved walking around watching people and just photographing what I thought needed to be photographed. Documenting the proceedings, the surrounding, the small group of family and friends, and the other small details that made up the practice run of a wedding.  At the end of the evening though, this beautiful light came through the trees and I was able to take a few portraits of the soon to be bride and groom and a small family.  It was a wonderful shoot with a wonderful family.  I hope you enjoy a small collection of their pre-wedding day.
